Concept to Reality
Polestar 4 required a structured and coherent UX concept for core functions, ensuring consistency and clarity across the system. Once the visual system was established, we got into functional visual principles for system cards and deep menus, defining how information is presented in a way that aligns with Polestar’s digital identity.
Once the UX and UI were finalized, we developed a fully functional mirror of the preproduction system in incredibly short amount of time to meet the Polestar 4 at Shanghai 2024. This was one of the few automotive systems ever made available for journalists to interact with live at launch of concept car.

Cards, Cards Cards...
Structured approach to UX, motion rules and visual styles as well as functional prototyping laid the groundwork for next HMI development. We had an amazing time coming up with all ideas for every tiny function and refining it to final interface element ensuring every pixel met Polestar’s high visual and functional standards.
You would not believe how many ways you can show things like “locking” ...
Pushing Boundaries Together
We are incredibly proud to have proven what can be achieved with dedicated minds, expertise, and a clear vision. Delivering results at this level required us to push our own limits, but none of it would have been possible without Polestar’s trust and belief in our work.
