About position

We are looking for a Lighting Designer to join our design studio in Gothenburg and help define the future of automotive lighting. You will work across both interior and exterior programs, creating lighting concepts that merge brand identity, emotion, and functionality. As part of the Technology and Innovation department, you will collaborate closely with Exterior, Interior, CMF, UX, and Engineering teams to design and prototype forward-looking lighting solutions that meet performance, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.

Objectives of this Role

Your goal is to shape the vehicle’s light identity through innovative and technically sound design. You will translate creative ideas into feasible concepts, develop light signatures that express brand character, and ensure seamless integration between light, form, and user experience.

You should have

Degree in Industrial, Transportation, Product, Interaction, or Lighting Design
Experience in automotive lighting design or related fields such as consumer or architectural lighting
Strong proficiency in lighting design and visualization tools including Blender and Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to translate light concepts into manufacturable solutions in collaboration with engineers and suppliers
Understanding of automotive lighting regulations, materials, and optical behavior
Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills in English
Hands-on approach with a creative and technical mindset, comfortable with simulation and prototyping
