About position
We’re looking for an Android Developer to join our automotive design studio and collaborate with designers, engineers, and researchers to bring new digital experiences to life. You’ll explore the feasibility of innovative product ideas and develop production-ready applications that shape the next generation of in-car interaction. This role sits within the Technology & Innovation department a cross-functional team where creativity meets engineering.
Objectives of this Role
Your goal is to turn design concepts into functional, user-friendly applications that seamlessly integrate with the automotive environment. You’ll ensure high-quality code, optimize performance, and support the team in developing prototypes and production solutions that enhance the mobility experience.
You should have
- Background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Strong skills in Java, Kotlin, and/or C/C++
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, frameworks, and automotive-specific APIs (Android Automotive OS, Android Auto)
- Experience with production-quality software development (Git, Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory)
- Knowledge of Android testing frameworks (Espresso, UI Automator) and automated testing workflows
- Understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and hardware integration
- Advantageous: experience with OpenGL ES or Vulkan, Jetpack, Room, Android Animation/Media APIs, ExoPlayer, or Unity 3D
